The Ecker Center for Behavioral Health

From the Community Mental Health Board

As a trusted behavioral health organization committed to providing care in the community since 1955, Ecker Center for Behavioral Health offers an array of comprehensive services for children, adolescents, and adults.  Ecker’s has two locations in Elgin and satellite offices in St. Charles and Streamwood.

Treatment is carefully planned and customized for each person based on their individual needs and strengths.  Crisis care services are available for individuals who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis and require intervention or stabilization services.  Clinical services and treatment programs are available for individuals with mental health, substance use and/or gambling disorders.  Prevention, education, and intervention services are provided throughout the community to empower individuals of all ages to make healthy choices.

Additional onsite resources offered include VNA Health Care primary care services, Genoa Healthcare pharmacy services, NAMI drop-in center, and support groups, such as SMART Recovery, AA, and Women’s AA.  In FY2021, Ecker served over 13,000 individuals in the community.

Most services are provided by appointment only.  Calling our Intake Line is the first step to receive treatment.  An intake counselor will provide information about services available as well as explain the cost of services, insurance coverage, deductibles, and different methods of payment accepted.
